Definitely recalls Erin Brockovich. I wonder if Focus suddenly decided to put this out this year instead of next since Harriet (which is currently sitting on the Rotten side) isn't gonna cut it.

I'm surprised they didn't send it to any Festivals - unless they really were banking on Harriet to be the one this year.

With how last-minute the film was when it comes to announcing its release date, it was probably too late for it to send to any festivals (although it maybe could sneak in during AFI), and Focus didn't want to go in empty-handed

i hope there's more to it but the anne hathaway bits in the trailer seem like a parody of "wife roles" in oscar bait biopics. wouldn't expect to see that in a todd haynes movie of all people.

Debuted this weekend with $102,606 in 4 theatres for a $25,652 PTA. Is it just me or is that a pretty disappointing PTA for a Thanksgiving platform release?
