Probably not. Best thing an actor can do if they make a bad movie is forget about it and move on. Maybe in a few years you can even makes jokes about it.

I understand they probably *should*, but Sydney has been known for having candid moments in interviews.

Legion is saying $32-36M total lmao

So Madame Web's entire domestic total will be roughly one third of Quantumania's three day opening weekend from a year ago. Hell its entire worldwide total won't even beat Quantumania's domestic opening weekend. Theaters wish they could have an MCU movie like QM drop $100M+ on them on a single weekend right now, which was in fact part of a 6 film streak of $100M+ opening weekends from the MCU -- a record that we will not see topped in a very very very long time.

A year later Quantumania box office doesn't look as bad compared to movies released after it.

Quantumania is the goddamn culprit. If you release a steaming pile of shit, the more people watch it the more damage it does to the brand, and CBMs in general. It's the opposite of a rising tide lifts all boats situation.

France - 41,035 Admits OD (Morbius - 76,801)

The Marvel - 49,629

Blue Beetle - 46,631

Shazam 2 - 41,900

Ratings are 1.6 Visitor & 1.4 Press

Yikes at The Marvels doing so much less than Morbius. The total lack of interest in that movie will always be shocking to me.

But, having begun filming *after* Morbius, why in the fresh hell didn't they reconsider their approach to Madame Web and hire *real* writers to replace the Morbius writers?

Morbius came out in March and Madame Web started filming in July. By the time Morbius released, there was probably no time time to pull the breaks on Madame Web.

True, but Sony had to have known Morbius was a dumpster fire well before release, so they had plenty of time to get new writers. Or perhaps they should have done what the MCU was doing with Blade and push production back until they were comfortable with it, which they still aren't. I mean, wasn't Blade initially set to start production in a similar amount of time from the point when they decided to pull the brakes? I get the driving factor for pushing back Blade was losing the director, but still.

Nevertheless, it’s clear that Sony has no idea how to approach these movies.
