It was indeed, very bizarre. 

 

But they tested it several times and the scores was so high (like +90's) that everyone discussed for months and ultimately Zaslav decided it should go to theaters

2023 is looking like a banger year for horror. Evil Dead Rise, Scream VI, M3GAN, The Haunted Mansion, Knock at the Cabin and i confess, i havent completely given up hope for Exorcist, though i have for the Nun 2.

Akela Cooper writing The Nun 2 is my primary interest (maybe my only interest lol) in seeing it, but the horror lineup this year looks phenomenally fun.

I would probably switch Exorcist and Nun 2 to be honest. I thought the first Nun was a fun jump scare film. 
 

Exorcist could end up decent, but Halloween Kills and Ends throw me off.

I think both those things could work, though they need to explain why the book is in their house/how it got there.

I dont even want to watch it, i stopped tha r rated trailer after 1 minute.

 

I want to go in as blind as possible. This movie has just skyrocketet to my Number 2 most anticipated film of the whole year.

I was aware of all the glowing reactions out of test screenings but I kept my expectations very sane, basically knowing I'm not gonna like it as much as the 2013 remake, but now I'm feeling like we might be able to get up to that level (no fucking way I'll anticipate anything higher than that). It looks very Evil Dead, and it looks very creative. For sure one of my most anticipated of the year.

Zaslav saved this and Blue Beetle for theatrical. If this trailer is any indication, blue beetle must look pretty good too!

To be fair, I think they wanted to test the waters with Prey after The Predator landed with a thud.
