A little late on the news, but yes, this movie is supposed to involve the multiverse to a degree. We just don’t know what the extent is, beyond Michael Kenton’s involvement. Time travel is also involved.

Not really extraordinary nowdays. Rogue One had like 1600, same for BVS. A timetravel movie having 1000 more doesn't seem anything out of norm. Same as the Star Wars sequels

But I was excited for Supergirl and sadly Batgirl is probably moving. 

 

To be fair, DC/WB had the multiverse idea first but they just took so long that by the time this releases, the MCU will already be several chapters into their multiverse arc.
