Year I know. Deadline says production could start late autumn. "Late autumn" means November and December

I guess WB feels like this movie is more of a priority then FB or FB won’t be ready to go into production till next year.

It may be zero hour for Ezra Miller and The Flash.

In an effort to stay on as star of the DC Comics-based movie, Miller has taken it upon himself to write his own script…and enlisted the help of comics author Grant Morrison.

The reason is this: Miller has his own…darker…vision for what the movie should be. But it clashes with what directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein have in mind.

It’s a shocking move and if the studio, which is already on the path of fun and light (see Aquaman, Shazam!) but made a deal for Miller and Morrison to do their version regarldess, doesn’t go for it, Miller’s run as hero Barry Allen could be cut short.

From joy to sadness in one day............... lol

“Despite its namesake, Flash has been anything but in its journey to the silver screen, going through several directors and writers. Miller, however, has been a constant, having been firstcast by filmmaker Zack Snyder for the role in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and embracing the role fully in Justice League.

The script could be submitted to the studio as early as next week.

But there could be a lot riding on it. If Warners chooses against Miller's take on the hero, the actor could part ways with the project. Additionally, and fittingly for a hero who races to beat the clock, there is a countdown scenario here as well: according to one insider, Miller’s holding deal on Flash expires May.”

wtf...why is it so hard to make a flash film...

A flash film from the Game night directors it shouldn't be this hard.

It sounds like miller is the one causing the delays. I guess they want to see what his script is like and if they don’t like it I guess they’ll part ways and replace him?

I guess the good thing is he seems dedicated but it also seems like it’s causing a lot of issues and what if the directors don’t like his script? Will they leave?

I think it's time to let Ezra go ... this is going on forever between scripts and his status on Fantastic Beasts ... and to be honest, his version of Flash is not some beloved thing that we must see.

Hire someone else ... and move on.  This is ridiculous.

I’m leaning in this direction as well. It shouldn’t be this difficult to make a flash movie.

I TAKE THIS BACK.

Honestly that report is probably right, that’s the reason why Miller probably has to have the script in soon cause they’ll want to start preproduction on the project if it’s indeed filming in November.

apparently they are still on cause it says the studio liked what they wrote.

If the studio likes what they wrote, Ezra needs to either accept it or leave.  Again, he's no box office draw to be taking a stance against them.
