Spring Break, unlike some holidays, isn't standard but depends on the calendars set by school district/county/state boards.  Some have it the week leading into Easter, others afterwards.

Nowadays, its really not tied to Easter as much, but rather Spring Breaks are spread out from early/mid-March to sometime in April. For example, last year Deadline reported 22% of K-12 schools off for Fri 3/18, 15% for Fri 4/08, and another 17% for Fri 4/22 (post-Easter).  [My two local counties/school districts both never tie it to Easter, and also coordinate so that they aren't on break at the same time].

 

Easter week (usually before but sometimes after) is still the most popular break week for K-12, though less so when it falls in mid April, as SB fits more naturally in March, closer towards middle of semester. Most schools do have off Good Friday, and a fair number for the Monday after Easter even if not part of Spring Break though. Daily numbers/patterns get wonky starting basically this week (or maybe next), through mid-April, depending on how many students (and whether K-12 or College) are on break at a given time

Kinda disappointed with the sales for Scream IV over the weekend, especially Sunday, as no tracked market manged to reach +30% growth from T-7, and that was with Creed III reigniting the box office and potentially helping to drive sales with audience overlap. For reference, Black Adam was ~35% for this window, and now its fallen back into more of the Dune/JWD range. Again, being a horror film, there is still room for a strong finishing kick, just running out of time to see it manifest

 

Going to drop the lower bound to $5M, and I'm not 100% convinced that even holds, though 3D shows/ATP might be enough to get it there. Maybe we get more of the standard ~10x IM that pretty much every non-CBM title seems to be getting these days, rather than the 8.5x (with holiday!) of Scream with a COVID cloud still lingering, but the ceiling is definitely lowering

Nah. Coming to earth. Still going to be a solid opening but probably 36-46 or so, BOP was on point with this one.
