At 5pm UK time today, Thursday April 30, moviegoers can see the latest vlog from the set of SPECTRE on www.007.com. The behind-the-scenes footage focuses on a car chase with the Aston Martin DB10 and the Jaguar C-X75, featuring Director Sam Mendes, actor Dave Bautista (Mr. Hinx), Special Effects Supervisor Chris Corbould, Stunt Coordinator Gary Powell, and Action Vehicles Technical Coordinator Neil Layton. 

Speaking of what the car chase will offer, Mendes said, "I love the idea of this fantastic car being in a one-on-one battle with another incredible car from Jaguar, which is similarly extraordinary actually. So it’s a cat-and-mouse game through the night time streets of Rome, at great speed, between two of the fastest cars in the world.” Bautista backed him up, "It’s amazing.  It’s one of those scenes that’s going to be very iconic. Just with the two cars racing through the streets of Rome – I mean, how often do you see that? It’s one of those things you only see in a James Bond film.” So, yeah, definitely one to check out.

Dammn if the car chase looks so good in B-roll, it must look incredible lensed by Hoytema and 2nd unit in the film.

Also the Arctic Monkeys (apparently) were at Abbey Road earlier this week for a 3-day session to record a single with Paul Epworth (who isn't their usual producer - he produced Adele's Skyfall)

 

Looks like that scoop is coming true, folks...

In todays world, it's pretty amazing IMO that this movie is still shooting although it'll be released in just 6 months.

I just found out that his doesn't have the same cinematographer as Skyfall, that's a bummer, it is the same guy who did Her and Interstellar. ugh

 

I mean, he is fine, but you have to be more than fine when your predecessor is Roger Deakins.

Looks good, but I still miss some of the gadget laden vehicles from past bond movies. The parking garage scene in TND was highly entertaining.
