Mid 300 millions is the budget # that was leaked in the Sony e-mail hack last year, so that fits.  In the e-mails Sony wanted $100m cut but Brocolli said no to everything.  The e-mails didn't indicate if that was the budget pre or post tax credits and were sent before filming and re-shoots.

First press screening is Wednesday so I don't think there will be an embargo at all actually. Reactions and reviews straight after.

I wouldn't underestimate Mendes' cut, they were understandably desperate to get him back.

 

But yeah, if those figures are even close to being true it's an insane budget. They obviously expect at least another billion in receipts.

Spectre will likely have big licensing deals for TV rights, VOD and home entertainment sales so it'll still be profitable even if it doesn't crack $1bn. 

 

Given the amount of products that are using Bond in their advertisements like Heineken, Sony, Omega etc it's still a huge brand.

Exactly. I'm sure Spectre, like most James Bond movies, makes its production budget back from sponsors alone.
