Awesome! It sounded like the biggest potential issue in the coming weeks for Frozen's sustained success was going to be keeping screens but this certainly helps with that

'Frozen stayed on top of the Japanese box office for the fifth consecutive weekend, pushing its total to $91.2 million (￥9.28 billion), as the country overtook Korea as the biggest overseas territory for Disney's Oscar winner.'

 

'The end of spring break last week had little effect on Frozen's stellar performance in Japan, with takings falling only 1.2 percent on the previous weekend to $8.26 million (￥840 million) on Saturday and Sunday.'

But it's Frozen. One of the things that drives people to see it multiple times, aside from the quality of the movie itself, is the fact that Frozen has different versions available: 2D dubbed, 2D subtitled, 3D subtitled. Each version gives different experience. That's why people want to see different versions of Frozen, including in 3D. But a lot of people prefer the dubbed version. Unfortunately, that version is not available right now. This move will solve that problem. I think releasing the 3D dubbed version before GW is very smart. Just when Frozen about to lose screens and audience to new movies, it offers a new experience, so it can still attract people to see it again.

Saturdays are the days to pay attention to .All other days have been affected by discounts, holiday, sb. Thats amazing sideways movement and shows the steady demand. That day will show us what the average weekly declines will be.this said to be unprecedented in japan. Not in America though. You can look at jaws, star wars, et to see this kind of weekend action.
