Do you know What the disappointment word means? MaId max wasn't a disappointment, it almost doubled dom ajusted box office of third movie in franchise and I have almost sure it wasn't that big overseas.

Kingsman was a big surprise, but it had $74M from China, Mad max not even was released there.

Taking off China, Kingsman has $340M vs $378M of Mad Max. Again... Kingsman was a big surprise still.

The production budget for mad max was around 1.5 times more than Kingsman and it certainly had a much bigger world wide marketing budget (wb). The expenses on this movie were much higher than Kingsman but did less than it worldwide. I know it didn't release in China, but still should have matched Kingsman total excluding china because it was much heavily hyped.

And? Disappointing has nothing to do with budget. Has to do with expectations.

A Grey war movie vs a trite Orange/Teal space movie ?

Choose your side !

Fixed.

It's so lazy how it reeks on "slap an orange/teal gradient layer onto the original visual in Photoshop's overlay mode".

Release the full trailer on Star Wars would be the best marketing for the movie.

Disney wants probably all the trailers with Rogue One to be theirs, they have quite a lot of movies to promote there. Sony might have a spot for Spider-Man but all the rest should be Disney.

I guess it will be with FB considering the
the online release date.

We know already Transformers and F8 are both gonna be with R1 haha (or at least released/sent to theatres in time for that anyway)

Frosty at Collider interviewed Luc Besson about the movie.

Trailer will be out on November 10th. Sounds like it is going to be visually something to behold. Excited.

Too bad it won't do well at the box-office because of the zero star power and release date.

Besson is coming off a tad stubborn here about going up against Dunkirk. If he's gonna have the film done by March, why not bring the damn release forward to get IMAX WW and avoid Nolan?
