According to recent official report, MI4 actually made about 678.9M yuan (107M $) in its entire theatrical run, claiming ALL TIME #3!

Top 7 Hollywood releases of 2012 so far:

That's just freaking amazing and so deserved. MI4 was one of the most impressive action movies I've ever seen on the big screen, in IMAX it was simply incredible, it's no wonder it became a blockbuster in China.

Also another "Holy shit!" at Journey 2. 60m from China alone? That film had a really solid global run, even though it seems like it flew under the radar. Josh Hutcherson is a billion dollar man this year

Journey made 10m in China. I kind of expected Journey 2 to make like 40m, but 60m is excellent.Journey adventures are boss in Asia.

Yep, it's a freakin beast in China. I'm thrilled it's doing this well. It makes the chances of 300 WW that much better. Xia now says 150 is the low end....possibly 170.
