Australian's are more weirded out by the really backward religious stuff too. The birth thing was just absurd and sick really. Have sex and you will suffer in this ridiculously over the top way for 'your sin' ...yadda yadda yadda, what bullshit. It's not the 1950's anymore. We have kinda moved on now. The weird religious obsessions with sex, the human body and sin are infantile.

I`m shocked by mixed reception. Eclipse was the best movie so BD1 should have gotten an uninimous boost from that because that`s the rule - if previous movie is good, sequel soars. I just don`t get it. :(

*Cough* Iron Man 2 *cough*. And this is like, a four-quel now anyway. It's unheard of for the fourth movie in a series to increase again.Perhaps it's something to do with the book hatred, or the fact this movie got awful reviews so fans thought it would be just as bad as the book. It's hardly gonna plummet though. WW, it should still get within 50m of NM and Eclipse.

That is total bullshit. There was no sin in the book regarding sex. They waited until she was married. Sex is part of marriage. There was no religious overtones in the sexual aspect of the book.

Or maybe it's just natural erosion. How many fourth films increase from the third anyway?

Well, Aussies don`t seem to have problem with Catholic propaganda such as LOTR and HP, only with Mormon one such as Twilight.

Please, let's NOT get into a religious argument. It will be never ending and the thread will go way off track.Religious arguments are no good for anyone.

+1Most people don't go to films like Potter LOTR and Twilight to dissect the hidden and subliminal religious agenda. They go because they are fun films.
