Gopher
Both Skyfall and BD2 should just edge past 300m when it's all said and done. Lincoln has almost made 100m and it still has a long run ahead of it... Disney's probably waiting until January to take it beyond 2000 theaters. I still see 150m for it. Pi and Guardians will probably finish somewhere between 90-100m.

forg
Per BOM report, the highest romcom for 2012 is What to Expect When You're Expecting with just 41 million? That's not even a "traditional" romcom. Bad year for romcoms although romantic drama The Vow earned huge this year
CJohn
Romcoms are a dead genre. Just like horror slashers/torture porn.
Hatebox
Gitesh Pandya @giteshpandya #Skyfall now bigger than DarkKnightRises at Intl BO w/ $656.6M. $918.2M global, Sony's top grosser ever beating Spidey3. Skyfall beating TDKR OS isn't too surprising, but it'd be amazing if it beat it WW.
tupek
Well, it doesn't happen that often, and I personally loved watching HTTYD run. Also, someone has already asked this question a day or two ago. http://boxofficemojo.com/weekend/chart/?view=&yr=2010&wknd=16&p=.htm

ChD
What are the chances for 300m Skyfall now? It's holding better than Casino Royale, so it does have a shot at 300M... Just do the math.Current gross: 261.2M.Next weekend: 45% percent drop (steeper than CR - Hobbit comes) - Means: 6.05M + Dailies (-40% = 4x 0.75(Average) = 3mil), so next week = 9.05M270M21st December - Here, vacation kicks in... Kids are free and stuff.Light drop maybe? -25% = 4.55M weekend + Dailies (-20% = 4x 0.50 (Average) = 2mil) = 5.05MChristmas: Increase 50%, leads to = 6.82M + Dailies (+100% = 4 x 1 = 4mil) = 10.82MCurrently, total stands at: 286.3MNew year's weekend: Increase 85%, leads to = 12.61M + Dailies (-50% = 4x 0.5= 2mil) = 14.6M300.9MThese numbers are based on Casino Royale drops and increases (Skyfall did better in increases, because, let's face, better Word of Mouth than Casino Royale had... Next week drop is steeper because of the Hobbit)
Fake
Skyfall is crossing $1 billion, right?1 Billion is locked even before China release.I'd say more like 1.1b. And if China breaks out, Shriekapoo may be going down.
