A masterpiece of popcorn cinema. I haven't seen ESB as often as New Hope, but I still think it is absolutely the best SW movie. A daring opinion, I know.

Although Episode IV is my favorite of the saga, I recognize ESB is a better movie. A wonderful classic, a masterpiece. A+ (10/10)

I'm really not sure what my absolute favorite movie is, but this is one of my very few "tied for first place" flicks.

might be an improvement, though i don't really know. perhaps not as cheesy and a bit more scale? though all the aliens continue to be annoying as fuck, the light saber battles boring and stupid (they actually twirl around!), and let's not even start talking about any intellectual merits. might just be good enough to be called entertainment, unlike its predecessor, though that had a bit of camp value in a way.

Yes, I love the existentialism in some of the shots.  The ethos of the movie also reminded me of Bryzgalovinsky's short film from the year before, Anal Glands and the Dark Knights of 1307.
