MovieMan89
WOW, a movie for adults that's making money. LET'S TRASH IT. I saw TGG again tonight with my gf and I honestly liked it better. I really can't figure out why some people are getting so riled up about it. I can understand not liking it, but I don't see what's so awful about it either. The soundtrack, visual prowess, and acting are more than enough to rule out horrible. My gf adored it. Theater reaction seemed good too walking out. Robertron
Wow. Gatsby is killing it!!Never did I imagine a $50m OW for it - huge weekend with a (hopefully) $70m-er and a mid $50m opener!
Lordmandeep
anyways hope IM3 stays to over 70 million Be even cooler if it does something like 75-80 but that would require the best weekday to weekend turn around since Spider Man 1. Chewy
Good lord that is terrible. This is what happens when you make a movie starring the warehouse guy from The Office

Robertron
And just mega LOLs at Peeples numbers. It's now quite obvious that Perry is the draw for his films, not simply his name.

Two things 1. 20 million could be the Friday base number and it could go higher 2. even so 20 million assures 70 million min
JackO
Hmmm..... That's a bit different from 50+m reports we've been getting.Wander where they're getting there projections from. They have some 'splainin to do
MovieMan89
How's IM3 getting to 75 with only 20M today? It's possible. It already had a much better Friday bump than TA's second Friday. If It follows TA's second Sat and Sun holds it would look like this: Fri: 20m Sat: 30.5m (+53%) Sun: 22m (-27%) 72.5m So if it holds better than TA on Sat/Sun like it did Friday then 75m is possible. 72m should be the low end if it did 20m today. RichWS
IM3 is gonna make at least 30M on Saturday. The question is how much can it increase. Can it approach 35?

Lordmandeep
That is true but how much can they be off +/- a few million especially for 2nd weekend its get easier to project Edited May 11, 2013 by Lordmandeep
MovieMan89
I know those numbers are really early, but 4-6m OW would be dismal for Peeples considering it had Perry's name plastered on it.
