Saw no thread anywhere, so here it goes.

 

Adapted from the novel with the same name. Ben Affleck directing, adapting and starring. Script has been leaked.

Warner Bros has set a Christmas Day 2015 release date for Ben Affleck's next directorial project 'Live by Night'

The film is a book adaption of the novel by Dennis Lehane.

 

Production starts September 2014.

So after Batman he'll move on to this ... works for me.

 

Boxoffice wise, It kind of depends on a lot of things ... audience reaction to him as Batman could give slight bump to his usual 'director' openings but probably not much ... also, whether this film is an Oscar style contender leading to great legs.

 

Christmas Day is a Friday in 2015 ... complete wild card guess if its' good.

I think BO will depend mostly on Oscar prospects but it should do well on Christmas regardless. People seem to like Affleck as a director more than an actor.

I posted a smiley back in May in this thread.  That is when I heard the rough cut screening was incredible.  Now they have moved it up to The Revenant slot with a likely limited release in NY/LA in December.  

 

This all points towards Warner Bros. thinking this is a Oscar contender and the info I heard being correct.

Was assuming they'd have a limited release of it in December.
