so bomb. I wonder what movie will take that slot opposite Dune Pt 1.

Right now, Dune's on its own that weekend, with Dwayne Johnson's Red Notice coming out the weekend before. But it'll probably open against some Oscar-bait film or indie.

never underestimate Oscar bait movies. BR was one and look at that boxoffice. There's no way Dune Pt 1 will remain alone that weekend. There's going to be something bigger.

bohemian rhapsody is not "oscar-bait".

why do words lose all meaning sometimes on this forum...

I have no idea if this article's telling the truth or not, but it's probably worth mulling over:

The pre-existing comparisons made between Craig's films and the Bourne saga have become kind-of funny now.

Of course it's truthful.  The Playlist is connected, definitely... this is not "Schmoes Knows."

Sounds like this Bond is once again dangling off the rails...very apt for the character.

4 1/2 years between Bonds will be the longest since LTK /Goldeneye.

This Craig tenure is lasting forever.  He'll have lasted two years longer than Moore with two fewer movies.

I wonder how many more Bond films we would've gotten if MGM hadn't filed for bankruptcy in 2010.

That's a pretty remarkable statistic. Moore made so many Bond films that it felt like he lasted a very long time.

The Daily Mail is not reliable. Heck, not even Wikipedia accepts it as a source.

But they're on the right track for once. The Playlist has it too:

Baz Bamigboye is usually quite reliable when it comes to Bond scoops which is probably why Playlist used his article in the DM as their source.

Thanks for the correction.

Regardless, Nyong'o would be a good choice.

The Playlist is quoting Daily Mail.  Always follow the links.

But yes, The Playlist is reliable and really connected -- they broke the recent screenwriter/overhaul scoop.

And yes, The Daily Mail/Baz are who actually broke the casting of Craig as Bond.  People always forget this.
