Just got out. Not as good as the first but that’s expected as it’s clearly part 1 of a 2 part movie. Reminds me of the feel after Deathly Hollows part 1.

Won’t see again in theaters. Dolby was beautiful but some of the effects felt too smooth too forced. Detail was incredible and much of the weather scenes were excellent. Anxious to see #3. Really hoping 4 and 5 have nothing to do with earth.

Loved every min of it, except the dark part of the story. Thought wrong decision for that character but overall best film by far this year. Haven't see so much claps and people in awee since Avatar 1.

Very nice to.see at a 2d showing. Cant.wait for the 3d 4dx viewing.next compadres

Reminds me of his "testosterone is a toxin" comment recently. 🤣

Its more so reminiscent of the culture wars of the 90s and early 00s where conservatives and such were aggressively pushing the idea that violent movies, violent video games, and certain kinds of music were responsible for violent crime and shootings.  It was bullshit then and its bullshit now, but for whatever reason this 'glorification of violence in media' talking point has been making a bit of a comeback in some sections of the left.

Anyways, 2 tickets to John Wick 4, please.

Thing is what does he mean by 'gun violence'?. I mean the film is full of guns. Even Loak kiils a human at point blank range with a gun.

I'm guesing that he's talking about stuf that makes guns look cool, like the scene in T2 where Arnie gets the mini gun and smiles at the camera like he's getting off on it lol.

1. I think he is always taking care about gun elements in his works. In Terminator 2, he never want John Connor to touch any gun, according to commentary audio. He believe it's very sensitive to let a kid open fire. And the key reason John Connor become the leader is intelligence instead of firepower. The only time John hold a gun is when he try to stop Sarah killing people and remove her gun.

2. People actually forget that Jim Cameron is a person turning 70. It's reasonable that he is gonna become conservative in some aspects as aging. He doesn't want bloody and violent stuff he did in his early days.

Cameron’s comments don’t really strike me as a critique of “glorification of violence in media.” It sounds more like a personal preference on his part. As in, excessive gun violence makes him uncomfortable nowadays, so he decided to steer clear of it. This is more or less supposed to be a family movie anyway. The John Wick movies can be as violent as they want, because they’re rated R.

Not only that, but John made the terminator swear he wouldn't kill anyone anymore because killing is bad!

I will likely go see it a 3rd time tomorrow. It was incredible, IMO. Not the Movie of the Year but in my Top 3.

I am so happy the 2nd weekend totals were stronger than the early estimates, despite the winter storm affecting most of the US.

The better A2 does, globally, the more likely we will see A4 and A5 get the greenlight.
