I maintain 2020 is a better date, good day arrangement and pathetically weak slate.

It doesn't really matter though, if the film is meant to be a phenomenon, it will be, regardless of possible advantages or disadvantages of 2021. Moaning about exchange rate is pointless, and not something we have a habit of doing.

Why would you moan about them? They would suck in 2020 but will be awesome in 2021. I see zero reason for 2020 being better. 2022 might be even better.

I'm more concerned about the delay for those people who love Avatar and may not live to see the sequels (old age, accident, etc.)

Do people really care though? I mean Titanic took a long while. Avatar was delayed 12 years. It's expected with Cameron.

Sure it pisses me off but will I see it? You bet your ass off in Dolby

I just looked into that and by the time Avatar 2 comes 10% of the people who saw first one in theaters will be dead.

I have a relative who absolutely adores Avatar and she's in her 80's. I want to be able to see what Avatar films I can with her, hopefully all of them.

Can any of you folks point me in the direction of the Avatar 1 international thread? Seemed like some fun reading but I’m not finding it with google.

BOT didn't exist in 2009!

The forums were around back then, on boxofficemojo.com

Then moved to boxoffice.com in 2011

Then created boxofficetheory in 20...13? 2014? Something like that

Any chance some of the threads may have been saved by the Wayback Machine? Probably not but there's hope.

I'm glad at least that these forums were around when Frozen came out, I still love looking back on that thread that bright me here in the first place.

Yeah, that's when this forum was created. Lots of members were on the box office mojo forum. I dont think it was an "official" merge from Mojo to boxoffice.com, but this is essentially the same thing. So regular members from Mojo days joined this place when it was made in 2011.

I've no idea which threads are archived, if any, but you can browse it here which is saved from March 2011:
