Nope, your not the only one. I don't get what the big deal is. As long as the movie is amazing, I could really give a crap what it is.

Yeah, it's going to be a big crowd-pleaser. Very entertaining, lots of action, it's not boring or slow at all, and you really identify with Sandra Bullock. 

 

Good to hear that there's more to it. Not that i can't appreciate a slow movie if the character work is strong but the 1 minute screaming of Bullock in the trailers have been like "whatever" to me.

I don't think we can rule it out with Bullock and Clooney's combined drawing power. And marketing has been excellent. I'm sure a good chunk of the general public is already aware this is coming out and they still have a few weeks left to promote.

RED DRAGON did 36.5, WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE did 32.7, THE DEPARTED did 26.9. None of those had 3D and two of them were R... so there's a chance. I just don't know how probable it is though.

I think right now, I'll say around 30M just to be on the safe side. I'd love to see it break 40M though.
