Shazam! | April 5, 2019 | 21st Most Profitable Film of 2019

It's hilarious to see the reaction on twitter.  Despite the fact that popularity wise (outside Tony Stark or Black Panther films)  ... DC films are just as successful at the box office  ... but you'd swear no one goes to these films because so many people online do nothing but bitch and moan about the smallest things involving them.

Just so you all know ... Shazam is a bust and terrible and WB should sell DC to Disney.  Why would twitter lie?  :hahaha:

So you're saying the reactions on twitter are negative?

When you search Shazam ... it's 50/50 at best.

It's not shocking, even if people spend nearly 5 billion over 6 films worldwide, bashing DC properties online gets you likes.

The reactions on twitter immediately after the game promo aired were not very good ... lots of same old DC crap.  (of course we heard that with Aquaman stuff as well and well ... 1+ billion later, who cares) :P It's gotten better in the last 10 minutes (guessing more of those from people watching the full version online)

Maybe your twitter shows reactions from different people based on your historic or something, here I did not even see 1 negative reaction (I'm not exaggerating).

Seems like another win for the DCEU and WB.

Exactly. Like someone else said above, he is called The Big Red Cheese for a reason. This will continue Wonder Woman's and Aquaman's accomplishments in cementing the DCEU as a feasible IP that can actually produce well-liked films.

People aren't anymore tired of Batman and Superman than they are of Spider-Man. People just didn't like the grim and gritty virtually humorless, nasty and mopey versions of those characters. You put Batman and Superman in a films as entertaining as Wonder Woman and Aquaman and you'd have yourself two successful franchises.

Unfortunately it seems that WB is sour on Superman.

Yes because they kept trying to make him dark and gritty for some reason. And this is coming from someone who liked Man of Steel. The fact is Man of Steel was the wrong movie to make. Yes, I'm Monday Morning Quarterbacking this bitch. But even during Man of Steel's development I thought going a darker route could be very risky but I trusted the filmmakers after seeing the trailers and the like. I still like the film but much less so these days. I wish that we had gotten an action packed Superman that was actually fun and uplifting and not so mopey. That's water under the bridge now I guess. I'll have to suffer through WB blaming the character again and not the stupid decision to turn him into a somber mute like in Superman Returns and Man of Steel after that. Maybe Shazam will ironically be what Superman should have been on the big screen.
