SOrry, but I just do not see CBM regaining the market dominance they once held. Yes, some will be very sucessful but  just don't think you are going  to have anohter run like Marvel had  2012 to 2019 again. The market has just changed too much.

Also, saying MCU peak run from 2012-19 may be unattainable again is poles apart from saying the entire genre is dead.

Since last year the CBM fatigue has really kicked in, bad products produce bad reception, is simple as that.

This year the only big one could be D3 and that is not even guaranteed if the movie fails to click in.

For 2025 and forward, the industry needs to bring something new or the genre it's going to suffer the same fate the 90's action flicks had.

The X-Men are not huge, BO wise they have never been big.  None of the previous films managed to do more than 770M

Yes, CBM fatigue is real, and the days when just about any CBM movie could at least be counted to make back it's budget are long gone, but declarint the whole genre dead is wrong. But the non fanboy audience has become a lot more selective. THis movie will need a good reception to be a hit.
