Not breaking out in Japan....1B OS is dead.

1B OS wasn't locked at all but just a wet dream lol.

Japan is just a shitty and unpredictable market.

Universal needs to put some rose and yellow dinosaurs attacking schoolgirls in bikini using DBZ attacks and 1B there will be locked lol!

20M in Japan will be enough to achieve 1.6B WW and it's perfect and THAT is locked  :D

ô Joy! :)

Yeah 1B OS wasnt very likely, but still...its a pity. Of course 1.6B WW is gargantuan. My guess is 650 DOM and 970 OS for 1.62B WW.

what the reason for the pessimism, barely begun in Japan?

People need some pessimism to temper the overall astounding run this movie has had?

Sure, it did 1.6B and went above every insane expectation, but damn, it's not gonna break out in Japan! Crumbling TBH.

IDK.

PS - it might actually be breaking out in Japan, this is early times and there's some conflicting posts in the Japan thread. But I guess some just need to be the first to shoot down any optimism.

New total as of Wednesday or Thursday:

(I think since the article went up late night Thurs in the UK, it probably means these grosses did not factor in Thursday in full)

Universal Pictures International’s Jurassic World stands at $955.3m, Universal and Illumination Entertainment’sMinions $625.3m and Trainwreck $7.4m ahead of debuts this weekend in the UK, Germany and Spain.
