Through the Sunday estimate, I have AS on pace for 440M (15.3% ahead of Mall Cop's OD multiplier adjusting for previews).  Using the same method for the 3-day, AS is tracking 11.8% ahead, which puts it on pace for 431M.  Both figures are trending upward towards 450.

Do I think American Sniper is an honest and well made movie? Not really.

Do I understand why it's hitting a chord with so many people? Absolutely.

 

It's widely considered a well-made movie, at the very least. Dishonest? Maybe. It's straightforward and unpretentious (if a bit basic and un-flashy). It's going to beat the fucking shit out of Mockingjay (probably both), though. Thank God.
