Neo
How did DH2 manage 43M with only midnight shows? That must have needed basically every screen on every multiplex with almost all showings being sold out. Also had 3 and 6AM shows.
Neo
Thursday night previews should stop counting as part of the weekend.

Ezen Baklattan
Watch as it makes $25m today and $90m on Friday and people call it a dissapointment.
Jessie
If this makes 200m this weekend I think that would be incredible.

FishMB
1. It is more likely that people view a film at 7:00, 8:00, 10:00 and 11:00 than 12:01, 3:00AM, or 6:00AM. 2. If Avengers: Age of Ultron makes more money on opening day than Deathly Hallows Part 2, it's because it was more likely to make more money given Thursday showtimes. 3. Therefore, Deathly Hallows Part 2 previews number will be more impressive than Avengers: Age of Ultron. I'm sure most of you will attack premise 1 so let me throw in some stipulations: this argument assumes both films make the same amount of money for their 'technical' opening day. Here's another argument: 1. All of Deathly Hallows Part 2's Opening Day record money was made on Friday. 2. Friday is one day whereas Thursday night and Friday is more than one day. 3. Therefore, Avengers: Age of Ultron will not have made its opening day money in one day, but more than one day. Not a record.
RthDeadWov
30 million and you can start a box office party. Friday and opening record are done easily then. However it lower, not much to worry as I think it be like IM3 backloaded weekend then. So no party then

spizzer
25-30ish then? Pretty solid nonetheless. Today will be massive, if it didn't pull over 30M last night then it should follow the 10/15/45 morning/matinee/evening pattern during the day today. 95M "OD" on the cards. Lordmandeep
As I said this is not the crowd to get massive previews from... It will seem it will be a back loaded weekend ...
FTF
As I said this is not the crowd to get massive previews from... It will seem it will be a back loaded weekend ... $25-$30m would still be massive previews though.
Poseidon
Why were people expecting 30m for this? Iron Man 3 did half of that and made 175m OW. The times of previews being an experience are gone. No lines, no sell outs, no atmosphere, so why bother going there?
Neo
If that's the case my 25M would be dead on and OD not too far off. Opening day could be near or be above 100M.
CoolioD1
$25-$30m would still be massive previews though. Indeed. That's more than I make in a year.
cookie
IM3 and Furious 7 earned $15.6m and $15.8m respectively, so $25m+ is massive still.
