Dementeleus
They were among the best because agree or disagree they supported their likes and dislikes usually giving valid knowledgeable reasons. They're much missed. Very broadly speaking, Ebert was more of a genre guy than Siskel. There were exceptions, of course.

They're much missed.yeah, that's what made them a likable pair if Siskel said eh screw that movie it's bland it's bad it's horrid then Ebert would say it was pretty good. And they weren't like normal critics like whiny Peter Travers(his tone and voice comes off agitating). Even Richard Roeper isn't a bad critic but he gives the weirdest ratings like The Counselor he have it an A, but I think he hates every Sandler movie on the planet. JohnnyGossamer
They were among the best because agree or disagree they supported their likes and dislikes usually giving valid knowledgeable reasons. They're much missed. Age took both of them from us. Both outstanding critics. You could learn A LOT from a good Siskel or Ebert review. And, of course, Pauline Kael's a fuckin' rock star if you read critics. I used to look up reviews at the library when I was in my teens. This fanboy/fangirl, stanning, etc. horse puck that passes for criticism sometimes is sad. Though, I won't deny, there's still at least a dozen critics that really inform and open the eyes, ears and mind of an invested moviegoer. And, for that, I'm happy. James
The presales for Minions here are absolutely huge and the strange thing is they are mostly concentrated in late night shows, meaning 6-7 PM onwards. It skews heavily adult. Another thing that leads to that conclusion is that the dubbed version is selling way less tickets than the subbed version. GregBeuke
How much has Terminator made so far WW? There hasn't been a update since Sunday. Paramount will send a new update out on Sunday after it opens at a bunch of new markets this weekend. If I had to guess it would be at somewhere around 225-250 million come Sunday. superduperm
I thought it was originally 4301, but 4302 isn't really different. Yes, 4,302 is the 2nd-widest release for an animated film. The widest release (Shrek 4) "only" opened to $71M so hopefully that's not the case here.
