WEDNESDAY NUMBERS | 3.8M (including previews) VACATION | 3M ANT-MAN | 2.8M MINIONS | 2.35 M PIXELS. Will Tom Cruise save summer?

Really Vacation should open with at least 5.5 million today, and take a decline tomorrow but then maybe light up on Friday with about 6 million and debut with between 16-18 million for the 3-day and then do about at least 25 million for the 5-day. Then end it's run with 70 million domestic.

I think it'll be a bit higher. 28 mil for the 5-day, but I forsee this having stronger legs due to it being the last major comedy for the summer and having decent WOM. Probably end with 95 to 100 mil.

I would love to see 100 million.

Vacation 4.1 (including previews)

Ant-Man 2.9

Minions 2.75

Pixels 2.35

Pretty bad for Vacation, and 30% drops for Ant-Man, Minions and Pixels. Assuming a 10% drop tomorrow (thanks to Rogue Nation previews), Ant-Man and Minions are both headed to around 13-13.5M for the weekend with normal Friday, Saturday and Sunday increases and drops. Pixels will be lucky to get to 10-11M.

Vacation has a lower Wednesday compared to Let's Be Cops. That is a shockingly bad performance.

The more I think about Pixels the worse it is, but also the more fondly I remember it. Does that make any sense?

And I saw Ant-Man again. God that movie is fun!

Totally makes sense.

I've had a drink or two tonight. But still...makes sense.
