I read an article in the Toronto Sun this morning where the director of Fantastic Four said that he had a great original version of the movie and the executives at Fox completely ruined the film. Now I know there's always three sides to a story but I believe him 100%. There had to be a different movie out there somewhere there's no way the director would have wanted that film to be the final product. I don't know if the people at Fox have a vendetta against him or something and were happy to spend a hundred and thirty million dollars on a piece of shit but that's exactly what they did.

Though I wonder why he didn't walk off considering the friction started very early. I think he wanted to leverage his being the director of F4 (not thinking it would turn out to be utter crap) for future jobs, and went along with their interference, frustrated and acting out. When it became evident that the movie was being received horribly, he publicly tried to create distance.

I really cant believe our plan to export Simon Pegg to America so we didnt have to deal with him actually worked.

The last time we tried it they sent Russell Brand straight back.

I thought Ant-Man would gross $175M domestic. A little lower end result than what I thought, but it is coming close.

It 'reached' with the weekend estimates BO.com's final estimate, so I see each $ more as good

Vacation might gross around 60 million. While not great its actually not that bad either. I dont think it cost all that much and it will end up being a mid sized hit.

The Gift got off to a very good start which be great news for new studio STX.

Stx is going to need all the luck they can get, Relativity tried to do what they are doing now with this mid-budget fare and failed.

I swear there has to be something missing between Doom's first appearance and the final battle sequence...

There's about 30-40 minutes missing from what the director had intended.
