Am I the only person who thinks A Walk in the Woods had a great weekend? People should get some perspective, it's a cheap film from a tiny movie company about two old men going for a walk...

It's very impressive, and that's only the 3 day.

No, everyone does.

No, everyone does.

Oh, I had been reading some posts saying how it's a bomb/disappointment. It was a well-timed release given that there's little out there, and shouldn't be lumped in with the domestic bombs of other bigger films that have been released in the past couple of weeks.

Very impressive weekend indeed. Should make a nice profit for the new indie  studio (Broad Green Pictures)

As good as the rest of Looking for Alaska is the ending is kind of a mess.

You must have missed the point then. The story is about the build up and recovery of grief and a search for real purpose. If the story ended with actual purpose being discovered it'd be too cliched and cheesy. The whole point is he searches for purpose and a reason why but never finds it so he must simply accept the hope that there could be something else to life than what he was living.

I get that but it drags on and you throw the stupid prank shit in there and it doesn't really amount to anything.

Paper Towns ending is much more effective personally. Absolutely destroying.

Lmao, people were high when they wrote that for sure.

Yeah, it's a much better gross than it had any right to be honestly. Though one has to wonder how much of that is the lack of decent new releases for the better part of a month.

My optimistic hopes for 9/18 weekend:

Scorch Trials: 52m

Everest: 48m

Black Mass: 24m

Everest is IMAX and PLF only on the 18th, that'd be one hell of a run  My current predictions:

Maze Runner: 44M

Black Mass: 28M

Everest: 7M

Lol, is it really? I had no clue about that. I guess that makes a little more sense though, I kinda wondered why we had such a stacked weekend in September. So it's getting an MI4 rollout then?
