Jake Gittes
The Independent has a headline of a 4-star review but no actual review yet. ★★★★½ Watched by Alex Billington 15 Feb, 2018 Yeah so Isle of Dogs is extra funky, pro-dog stop-motion excellence. A truly one-of-a-kind Wes Anderson creation. Love the Japanese drummer score. ★★★★½ Watched by Patrik Linderholm 15 Feb, 2018 ISLE OF DOGS is Wes Anderson at his most joyful! Extremely warm and funny with fantastic visuals. For a dog lover it’s a must! For everyone else - well, it’s also a must. AniNate
The reviews have been calling Rango to my mind. Seems like it's in a similar vein of ugly-cute animal characters going on a simple comic adventure that's made more adult-skewing through its script. Think it could find an audience among curious teens/YAs but I still doubt it does more than $30 mil.
