At this moment I simply cannot see a cume below 800M DOM. No way! Even dropping more than 50% during Christmas weekend, SW7 will be close to 500M... With a full Holiday week ahead. And Star Wars films always have had solid late legs... If you're named Excel or Kal

Yeah, Christmas is crowded this year but you can't say any of those releases would have posed much of a threat to something like MI5.

redfirebird2008
MJ2 did just fine. Now here is a movie that deserved much better: Zodiac. Not just a flop at the box office but got screwed with zero Oscar nominations due to releasing early in the year.

You're forgetting that this movie had an abnormal opening weekend built on hype. The preview opening and first day gross compared to sat and Sunday are proof of this. Demand is burnt more than you guys think. You can't just use a regular multiplier for that kind of weekend. I say this slows down and ends at 650. Still? When will people realize that this is a special movie just like Titanic and Avatar? After the numbers come in? It's not an estimation then. Accursed Arachnid!™
You know, due to the prequels, Star Wars had become nearly as infamous as it is famous. To overcome the negativity is simply astounding to me. Avatar was working with a clean slate and it hit the 3D zeitgeist. TFA represents a comeback of epic proportions, restoring SW as the king of all movie franchises. Let's cease any debates over what will be the bigger accomplishment between the two box office behemoths. When TFA passes Avatar it will regain the throne the franchise so richly deserves.

JW was an amazing film. Don't get the hate it's receiving. It deserved every last dollar it got. It's possible to like JW, TA, Avatar, and TFA at the same time.
