Yep, mine too.  American Pie is a terrific homage to those films.  And yes, we need more R rated teen films.

agreed. American pie filled that 15 year void and was funny. I mean pg 13 films were good but a little boob goes a long way

Rated R set those puppies free

instead of Avatar vs SW7 we could argue

Phoebe Cates vs Shannon Elizabeth.

Real vs Fake

Californian vs Ukrainian accents

etc etc

An unnecessary 80 million dollar budget?  How so?  Movies aren't cheap to make.  The look of the film tells me all I need to know about it.  80 million seems like a good budget for this type of film.

And I don't think this is going to bomb.  In fact I think it will do quite well.....it looks good to me, it's based on a true story and there's a lot of people who want to see it, at least in my cirlce of friends.

Well 80m dollar budgets seems unnecessary for a film that's probably not going to light up the box office, especially if Disney's last true story movies are anything to go by.

I understand that movies aren't cheap, and they probably had a lot of money used, making those boats and what not, but 80m seems a bit risky for the type of film it is regardless.

Well, it's a film that takes place on the water, which always inflates a budget and it's a film with a lot of effects.

And I don't understand why people think it's not going to do well.  It looks quite good to me.

You're crazy, LMFAO

But ok, I'm enjoying this flop too

Hahaha I was always the one saying "meh" is better than flop. But then I experienced months like September 2014 (minus Maze Runner) and August 2015 (minus Compton).

Shannon Elizabeth in this scene kept me warm many a night in my teenaged years.
