Hail Caesar costs $22m so even with marketing costs, it'll likely make a profit. Universal have a good relationship with Working Title and The Coen Brothers and films like these balance out the tentpoles.

I don't know what to think of PPZ and The Choice. 2016 has been kind to horror movies on PPZ has had a fair share of marketing while there's no hype for The Choice but it's Sparks. I'm gonna say:

I'm expecting The Choice to debut even lower than The Best of Me. The stars are people that no one cares about and the marketing makes it look like the same exact movie as previous Sparks adaptations.

Great hold for TR and TFA.  

 

$11M was about what I predicted for TFA before I saw how many theaters it lost.  I then reconsidered down to 9.5.  $10.8M is a really strong number.

Also, Revenant is closing in on 300M WW. Before it opened, I certainly did not believe that would happen. I honestly didn't think the film would become this popular with the general audience. Nice hint that some movie stars still have drawing power.
