Also every year, there's that one "X Restore my faith in the power of Seventh ART" or "Y is an Ode to LE CINEMA!" or the hit combo "Z is the magical love letter to the Golden Age Cinematic Experience you didn't know you needed so bad in the barren landscape of franchise filmmaking."

 

I also get a kick when anglo-saxon critics try to go all Nouvelle Vague snob on you by fancying a latin colloquial expression "Magnus Opus!", "Tour De Force", "Chef d'oeuvre!", "Excelsior".

I think this could challenge Pacific Rim at the domestic box office. It has the feel of a holiday blockbuster and I think its weirdness has a charm that will make it appeal to certain casual moviegoers.
