I got the most majestic trailer line-up ever last night when I saw BvS for the 2nd time: SUICIDE SQUAD, CIVIL WAR and APOCALYPSE.

Lmao

I got all those plus Warcraft, Ghostbusters,  and Tarzan.

Raise your hand if you had Deadpool becoming the highest grossing R-rated film of all time without 3D and without China. I remember Rob Liefeld said it would and people laughed at him on Twitter. And it still hasn't opened in Japan. :ohmyzod:

I sincerely just don't understand why we can trash TASM2 and other poorly received films left and right and when it comes to DC films it's completely different. Never bad films, just mixed films.

BvS has been trashed just fine in the spoiler/review threads and head stomped on RT.

But we are in the numbers thread here and it's hard to trash the numbers of a movie that opened #6 OW all time.

Next week if it drops 70% the WOM discussion can be brought up.  Until then it's time to get back to keeping the individual threads on topic.

I think Andy's reply worded it well. But to add to it with my personal opinion, I think the mods are doing the best they can, especially with trying to maintain order while keeping most of us feel fair and equal in their treatment. I don't really fault them for sometime joining in with the fuckery a bit cause it can be pretty funny once in a while. And they're just like us.

I understand your frustrations with being labeled as trolls or haters, especially when I do see that sometimes you try your best to state your opinions without biasness. I think you just come across too strong for some's likings. And as for others who just constantly dismiss everything you say and calling you haters upon sights, then who cares? You shouldn't be bothered by it. Ignore them. Easier said than done I know, but it'll be better in the long term.

Out of likes but yeah, I agree while thinking we can do more than that. I more than welcome discussion about any release that I'm interested following, and I believe that as long as the personal attacks were heavily forbidden, the boards could get some great discussions, forcing people to think about the films they are talking instead of resorting to cheap shots.

Yeah, it's probably a good idea to not doing this if you wanna avoid coming across as way too strong, iJack.

Ya know what, it is most definitely a good idea.

I'm not sensing 200+ m hype for Civil War.

But again, JW was supposed to open around 120 m.

There's no comparison. The Jurassic Park series had been dormant for over 10 years, and we've seen the Marvel heroes countless times.

No, you are exaggerating and we are back to discuss each other instead of discussing the films. I said fuck Zack Snyder after watching the film and in my first post on the weekend thread, it shouldn't be seen as a personal attack to you or the fans, but a sign of revolt with the guy behind a film that I was anticipating with characters I like. I'm vocal, but I'd like to see we discussing films and it's numbers, not deflecting the talk to paint users as fandom enemies. It just makes your job here harder, imho.

That's a completely fair and valid point. I think addressing that it could've made much more with different circumstances is a fair argument to have, but I agree we shouldn't keep repeating ourselves here. Yet I think opposing views can be presented without resorting to discussing users, instead of the films numbers and merits. It just makes for a healthier movie talk imho.

I got Suicide Squad, Apocalypse, Warcraft, Tarzan, Ghostbusters, Beyond, and Deepwater Horizon trailers at my showing. No Civil War. The people at my showing didn't care at all for Deepwater Horizon or Apocalypse.

I loved almost every X-Men movie, but strangely Apocalypse is the first X-Man movie that I find myself not hyped for.
The CGI in the trailers looked so awful imo.

I don't think it's an attack on me at all. Nor do I think it's an attack on "opposing" fans. It's just a pretty clear indicator that you're fairly invested in the outcome of this movie.
