My analysis of Zootopia's coming weekend, based on its 3rd.

 

Friday: $6.7 million (up 110.9% from previous day)

Saturday: $11.3 million (up 69.2% from previous day)

Sunday: $7.8 (down 30.2% from previous day)

 

Total: $25.8 million

 

That's a bit implausible, so lets go with:

 

Friday: $6.0 million (up 87.5% from previous day)

Saturday: $9.0 million (up 50.0% from previous day)

Sunday:$6.0 million (down 33.3% from previous day)

 

Total: $21 million

 

Also implausible, but it makes me feel good about my $19 million derby entry.

60m would be fantastic for BvS, higher than F7 and Deadpool, 400m is certainly in play.

Family films tend to have the worst increases on the Friday after Easter (I assume the people that are saying BvS is a family film if it has an increase to 18-19 just aren't aware of that), so I wouldn't count on much better than 80% for Zootopia.

Newbs I have bad news for you, this is just in. My sources tell me that Rth is actually playing an April's Fools on you, Batman v Superman's projection is actually $1.8m and a Warner Exec just jumped from the water tower at WB studios in Burbank. TMZ is also reporting it.

Okay, ignore this.  I don't know what I was thinking.  $18 - 21 million.  An increase is impossible.  I thought Zootopia had been in theaters for only 2 weeks.
