He's not guilty simply because you or anyone else wants him to be. Nor is he guilty simply because he was accused. The court system, twenty years ago, found him him not guilty and he's insisted on his innocence.

A court found OJ not guilty, didn't mean he was innocent.

Ever notice how he didn't actually deny what he did?

Speaking strictly from a legal standpoint, he's not supposed to confirm or deny anything except for the legal outcome of the case.  Obviously he denied any wrongdoing during those court proceedings.

But the reality is, we got a blurp, an excerpt from a two hour interview. We don't know what all was said during it.

And that he brought his six-year-old daughter to the interview?

And? Maybe he didn't know what was going to be talked about, or maybe he did. We don't know.

In either case, he's innocent and it was nearly twenty years ago.

Do those actions strike you as something a non piece of shit would do?

The first one is perfect and advisable legal conduct. The second one doesn't mean anything. Neither of those are 'shit' things to do.

It isn't worth it. Just walk away.

Whats not worth it?

It's a simple discussion. He's not guilty of anything. The people who are out of line are those wanting him to burn for something he insists he didn't do and a court of law found that to be the case.

OK, this movie is going nowhere this Oscar season.

Disturbing that it took an impending Oscah campaign for all this shit to come out. Dude's been working steadily for a while

Well, a just person would. So I do care. As should anyone else who cares about the justice system and public lynchings.

The only bullshit is being spewed by people who, two decades later, want to find fault with a man who is innocent. If he had been proven guilty or if there was some other like-minded crimes to help corroborate suspicion, then I can understand. Other then that, it was an accusation that was proven guilty in court. There is no 'insulting of intelligence' there is only picking sides based on whatever arbitrary reasoning you adhere to. I side with the court system. Everything else is subjective emotion-rousing. 'He was accused...therefore he must have done it'.

Why are people ITT mad about his interview? He didn't commit a crime, nor was he proven guilty of any wrong doing. What else was he supposed to say?

Read the trial transcripts and the later reports of their harassment of her on campus.

Parker was found not guilty because she gave him a blow job the day before (because she didn't want to fuck him) .  That was the fucked up reasoning of the jury.  That if she consented to a sexual act before this then he couldn't have raped her even though it was verified she had consumed over THIRTEEN an 1/2 shots that night on top of a Prozac prescription that would have rendered almost anyone unconscious.

There was a third man there who witnessed her - eyes closed, still, arms flat, not moving as Nate invited both his buddies to join him  Celestine did but the third guy said it wasn't right and tried to stop Celestiian.  But he stayed for a few more minutes watching them fuck her as she didn't move and then he left.    Other of Nate's other friends testified he told them she was really drunk and out of it.  The bartender and other friends of Nate spoke to how much alcohol she consumed.

When she asked Nate to tell her who was else there was but he wouldn't tell her.  Why not?   She then taped another phone call to Nate where she pretended she was pregnant to get trick him into naming who else was with him because she didn't know how many or who had hurt her.  So he told her about Celestine while blaming her for what happened for being drunk.

This was all enough evidence for the jury to convict Celestine.   So they believed all the witness and medical testimony that she had been unconscious, and that she did not give consent and that she was raped.  But Parker the one who invited his friends to join (while smirking according to the witness) wasn't convicted because she'd given him a blow job the day before.  The only reason there was a retrial was on the grounds that Celestian's attny didn't object to the legality of the taped phone conversation so a retrial was set and it took years.

By that time she's been harassed out of school, that didn't protect her but did protect her rapists,  and into two suicide attempts and said she was too mentally fragile to go through a trial again.

So yeah they both walked and they're both guilty as shit.
