BVS will have a good hold next weekend too, before CW arrives the weekend after next. With 5.4m/319.4m this weekend, 330m is possible. But ZOOTP is now definitely going ahead of BVS, looking at 335m+ with 6.8/316.6m this weekend. Leaves it only 2.8m behind BVS, down from 4.2m before the weekend. It will reduce the gap by 1-1.5m next week and a similar amount the week after. Could go ahead the weekend CW opens.

Cinderella had a 35m 2nd weekend and added 2.25x of 35m more to the rest of the run. If TJB has a 61m weekend and adds 2.25 x 61 more to it's cume, it will end at 330m. But it certainly will do better than Cinderella. 340m looks certain even in the face of CW.

I feel that if Universal really wanted to attract the same audience as SWATH they wouldn't have named the movie after the only male lead.

 

I'm surprised no one started a "Huntsman Winter's War under Mirror Mirror" club.

They could have named it Ice Queen and the Huntsman as Ice Queen is replacing Snow White as the female protagonist fighting Theron. Would have at least sounded consistent with Snow White and the Huntsman.

Completely forgot that Mirror Mirror even exists , just like will forget that Hunstman exists.

BTW, with 20m it needs 2.5x to do 50m which is looking suspect. Certainly will fall below SWATH's 56m OW.

The Ice Queen is the main villain of the movie. The main female protagonist is Jessica Chastain, who is another Huntsman.

I would say the main villain is still Charlize, even if she is only in it for 15 minutes. Plus there are tons of TV Spots selling the Ice Queen as the good Queen that will battle against the Wicked Queen

If warner decides to release Snyder's R-rated cut, it will add another $20M to BvS total
