My teen kids just refused to watch Pets even if I offer it to them.

When they announced that this was with out will smith i still believed that this could get 200-220 in the usa alone. It was still a independece day movie, cool visuals, alien invasion movie, Emmerich the master of destruction porn. I was hoping something like spielbergs war of the worlds domestic cume.

Just know that agreeing with Ethan is on the wrong side of history 90% of the time. The other 10% is for Nolan.

 

I wanted to like White House Down more than I did, but it's bogged by being really just one of the ugliest blockbusters I've seen in recent memory.

"Enjoyed" is a bit strong but it's a decent flip to on cable movie for the scene with New York flooding.

 

As for 2012 that is a movie that hits the sweet spot of disaster porn for LA and then my favorite sequence, Yellowstone.

Emmerich historical films are absolute garbage.I know number of Revolutionary war reenactors, and they watch "The Patriot" for laughs.

And don't get me started on how bad Anoynymous is.

Stargate and ID4 are the only two movies that hold up. White House Down was ridiculous.

Emmerich tried to get several major Envorimental groups to endorse TDAT,but they refused because the science in the film was so bad that it would make them look silly.
