Thurs 4.0 -8-10%

23.4 mill third weekend 

 

Anyone agree?

I don't think SS will fall badly next weekend. Probably like 55-60%. But I think your weekdays are a tad strong. Not by like a lot but I see SS getting to $18-20m for the weekend. But this is based on my weekend projection of $45.6m. If it comes in higher or lower than that, I'd change it.

Instead of "terrible WOM", another way of looking at it is that the movie had a limited fanbase (made more limited by reviews and general reception), and that fanbase has -- by next weekend -- already seen it.

I think if it falls more than 60% like let's say another 65% I'd agree but I don't think a 60% drop next weekend would indicate that.

Exactly. I mean really, it's like I said, Suicide Squad's drop is not in good company. Deadpool was a freak of nature. Not a chance in hell Suicide Squad is going to emulate that multiplier and Civil War simply made more money and had China.

I am thinking a 3.8 Thu, 70% bump to 6.45

6.45 + 8.8(+36.4%) + 6.15(-30%) = 21.4 (-52.5%)

I feel closer to 50% drop than 60%. 

21-22, if the 2nd weekend is 45.

I don't think the drop is bad necessarily buts it's not great. I know it had strong weekdays but so have a lot of films and they never had over a 65% or over drop (still to be confirmed).

 

It is just annoying because if this film had better buzz it could have done exceptionally well. It is still doing ok considering but it had a lot more potential.
