Too optimistic 2nd weekend, IMHO

Around 40M is where I see it falling. Slightly over 50% drop.

200M DOM is guaranteed, though

I agree. A typical second weekend superhero drop would actually be closer to $35M, so $40M next weekend would be good.

Strange at or over $100m by Thursday dailies?

Second weekend domestic, $45m? $50m?

Anyone not feel like Dr. Strange will be knocking on the door(or past) of $150m after 10 days domestic?

$200m is a lock it seems.

Could get to 100m by Wed.

Looking for a 50% drop like DP did after adjusting holiday Sunday.  Next week releases are not huge, in just 2200 theaters or less.

145m next sunday.

215-225m total likely.

Kinda weird that Doctoe Strange didn't have over 4,000+ theaters.....weird indeed.

Especially since only 7 MCU-movies had over 4,000+ theaters like these movies:

      Iron Man 2 = 4,390

      The Avengers = 4,349

Avengers: Age of Ultron = 4,276

      Iron Man 3 = 4,253

Captain America: Civil War = 4,226

      Iron Man = 4,154

Guardians of the Galaxy = 4,088

Since MCU movies have more hype and are more popular than ever......you might think they need more theater counts than just under 4,000....don't ya think?

SULLY has grossed $62M overseas with Japan ($13M) and OZ ($10M) leading the way. China drops December 9th.

      WB's STORKS is nearly a $100M hit ($99.3M) internationally. CHINA ($11M) MEX ($7M) UK ($7M) ESP ($6M) OZ ($6M)

Focus Features' LOVING had a solid debut in 4 theaters with $159,615--$39,904 per.

I believe it's more of them trying to save money.

I do believe if The Dr. Had 4,000+ screens it probably would have crossed 100+o.w and be a front-runner for 300 domestic.

A massive amount of theaters isn't always necessary. When you have a release in the 3,000-3,500 range you've pretty much guaranteed there's going to be a theater within a reasonable distance of most of the population.

I get that but I can tell you this ,I'm not about to drive 45-1hrMins to see a flim.

Maybe I'm used to the theater being with 5-10min away that's just me.

Not to mention less screens results into more sold out theaters.

Overall still a good debate ,I wanted it to make 300 domestic so this hero fatigue argument could cease to exist.

The only studio having problems hitting 300 domestic is fox other than that I don't see any fatigue happen anytime soon.

Oh thank God it stayed under TDW. Now I'll gain a lot of points in TWG :D

I hope it doesn't have the same legs if so it has a shot at missing 200 domestic better legs would definitely put it over it.

Yeah, and the overwhelming majority of box office comes from the top 2,000 theaters.  It's more important to have 4-5 screens at AMC Empire in NYC than to have that one extra theater in Kansas that's 100 seats.  And they both count as one theater.
