The Fences number is kinda weak but I think Paramount shouldn't have added the limited start so late in the game. It should still do really well over Christmas when it goes wide.

That's only 50 more than TFA. Not comparing movies, just marveling at TFA's bo.

Not exactly a re-release. Was in 6 theaters and expanded to 350. Made about $2 million extra from the expansion.

Next weekend will be a crazy weekend. TFA didn't face such stiff competition 5 days into its run.

One can only hope it bombs like the Tourist and we never have to see the awful Jennifer Lawrence (over)act again and Chris Pratt and go back to being fat on TV but that seems like wishful thinking.

That OS number for R1 looks kind of skimpy compared to the DOM performance. Is it missing some big markets like China or Japan?

 

If the OS number just matches its DOM, then R1 probably doesn't hit $1B WW.
