I often fantasize how good a Fallout movie would be with me at the helm. It'd be a story of self-discovery with real sets and practical effects.

But would you keep the retro 50's but nuked to all hell aesthetic? And what city would you use?

Youare right; she is below average (more than mediocre).

Not that you fanatics who worship at the altar of Lawrence would believe that she is anything but the second coming of Bette Davis/Katherine Hepburn/Meryl Streep. *facepalm**

Fortunately, having yet another critical and commercial flop in her resume will convince the industry that she is nothing out of the ordinary.

There are actors and actresses I don't care for.  But I don't think I've ever been this angry at someone, the way you seem to be.  Did she do something to you personally?

Serious question.

You aren't seriously comparing drops between a movie that is in its second week of release and one that has almost run its course, do you?

Of course FB will see lower drops, it's numbers are far lower. If you already have made most of your money, losing out on two days doesn't impact you nearly as much as when you are still making big numbers. Especially when you add the factor that Rogue One dropped from its opening weekend (which in many cases gets enhanced by previews), while FB obviously doesn't.

Seriously, it sounds like you have little idea what you are talking about. You haven't bothered to take the situation into account, even when people told your about it. You flat out ignored the way christmas falls this year, that the weekend is artificially lowered because of it, and that the next few days will be a whole lot better again because that's where the money gets made during the christmas holidays. You basically pick the one tiny detail that fits your narrative while ignoring everything else around it.

No, I am saying FB's drop should be bigger than 46.6% because of christmas...

1. btw... Cut should be bigger than 46.6% with this (losing screens and the Christmas 'falling' on the weekend) Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them

2. "There are countries..." Names, pliz.

1. Are you earnestly trying to compare a film out longer / released for a longer time (and more complete as in the whole market), with a very much better to Christmas matching story to a ~ newly released film's 2nd weekend, that is not even released everywhere yet?

Plus age skewing,... A fantasy film vs a war Sci-Fi. At Christmas....

Was that really a seriously meant question?

2. Per law e.g. UK, per custom and or regulation in every catholic or protestant European country in the MEZ time zone, Greenwich time zone,...

I am not sure about the Russian part, as that is the Orthodox Church of the early January is Christmas time variation (The Russian, Belorussian, Ukrainian, Serbian, Macedonian, Georgian and Jerusalemite churches, as well as the monasteries of Mount Athos)

acc. wikipedia those follow 'our' calendar: Ecumenical Patriarchy, Alexandria, Antioch, Romania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece (except the Republic of Athos monasteries), Albania, Finland and the Syrian Orthodox Church

Closed down are the cinemas also in AUS and NZ, for how long / at what days ... you might best ask in either the matching threads, DeeCee or the mod who is from there.

Not sure about South America, but as the religion is there too rather important, in the International area are several per country threads, best ask there for yourself

In Asia especially South Korea has a high part of Christians, I know they have the days as holidays, but no idea how that impacts the cinemas.

Mine would be a futuristic western, and then Geralt appears at the end, chops off the main character's head and ends with 'War, war never changes'

Fallout 5: New Novigrad

A magic experiment by Ciri goes terribly wrong, merging two dimensions together. Now Novigrad is a nuclear wasteland, and only Geralt of Rivia, along with a band of plucky post-apocalyptic western redshirt sidekicks, can retrieve the necessary mix of sorcery and advanced technology to repair the damage and restore each dimension to their proper place.

It's

1) far more egregious than in B&B

2) treated like a typical Rom Com obstacle

Spoiler

1. He locked her in the castle to never go home or see her family or go free.  Don't think there is much difference there.

2.  How was Bin the B not a romance obstacle? The whole point was she had to fall in love with him. 'com' is only part of the movie.  Disney's B in the B definitely has as many laughs.

But MORE, in Passengers, the moral question is posed as a huge moral problem - something much more glossed over in B and the B.  Have you seen Passengers?

Sounds great! Who will you get to put up the 300m for production costs? :)

I'll have to build a steady relationship with Kevin Tsujihara. He greenlights whatever Nolan, Eastwood, Affleck, and Yates want to do, so it's a surefire way for him to waste give me the money :)

No, I am saying FB's drop should be bigger than 46.6% because of christmas...

I disagree, it is in my POV a better fitting for Christmas film than SW R1, is in UK,.. very loved, still in the top 10 of...

Maybe trying to look up the details at e.g. International yourself? (friendly meant, I never know how I sound to another languages ear, IMHO especially important to clarify, if it borders different POVs)

There are not a lot of countries details for this weekend already out for FB, but beside it being IMHO a very good Christmas film you might see that in countries with a christian (or some Christins, see Turkey) there are deeper drops than the average. But as only 3 countries = IMHO a too small data part...

Norway   9 3    $24,689   -73.6%   39 -9   $633 $3,340,449 6
Italy 19 3 $21,954 -86.6% 35 -98 $627   $15,468,152 6
Turkey 20 3 $6,674 -75.5% 9 -19 $742 $2,177,074 6

Maybe it might be interesting to you to look more into the per country results over the last few weekends of FB?

While all of you continue arguing things, I show you facts. Look at these drops...

Your first post about this was a GIF of somebody doing an epic fail, something that R1 clearly isn't doing.

I'm not sure what your point here is: that OS it's not as strong as domestic? I don't think anyone would argue that point. Nonetheless, there's a world of difference between that and the epic fail you suggested, no matter how you choose to interpret the OS weekend.

I know you didn't like it, and perhaps it's reasonable to argue the OS performance "should" be better (though there are so many variables), but to spin it the way you've been spinning it makes you look like you either don't understand the numbers or have a grudge against the movie.
