Not surprised. Every single theater around me dropped it this weekend after cutting it down to 1-2 shows a day last weekend. Still, poor Affleck.

I really don't understand why they don't wear a fat suit.   OR hire a fat actor!

mcconaughy in gold looks like cruise in tropic thunder.  TC wearing a fat suit didn't take anything away from his performance.

I think that drastic weight gain/loss for mere film roles is insane. I watched a video about Bale's crazy weight loss for The Machinist, which entailed eating very few calories per day and drinking only water. That kind of bodily abuse borders on the pathological. Haven't these actors considered that they are acting these roles, not becoming them? Prosthetics, makeup and clever costuming can simulate those sorts of physical changes quite well, without the need to go to extremes.

I won't even get into the stupidity behind actually eating raw animal parts, getting beaten up or the many other ludicrous things people do to avoid acting. The day may come when an actor playing a person with cancer undergoes chemo, or one decides to have plastic surgery to resemble a character. Don't dismiss the possibility. That would make a fascinating film, a surefire Oscar winner.

Did Edelstein spoil the film because he didn't like it?

This review of Split is loaded with spoilers. I wish there were even more. It would be nice to spoil the entire movie.

Pretty much.

He also hated it so much he wanted to be able to describe in detail why he hated hated hated it - hence  in depth plot discussion.

Surprised Warner isn't putting out a commercial for Kong. Or Lionsgate for Power Rangers. Or Disney for BatB.

I'm not sure T2 is going to do much business domestically but TBH it doesn't matter as it'll be a success in the UK and the budget is only $18m which it'll easily make back just from the home market, everywhere else is just gravy

I'm not sure the producers greenlit expecting it do great business anywhere outside of the U.K. I'm sure it'll be considered a decent enough hit though.

It seems weird that Fox is only airing ads for 1-3 movies when it's on their network this year. I'd bet on those three, Apes, and Boss Baby
