Saw this in Toronto and it is legitimately good.  Janney and Robbie are Oscar nomination shoe ins, but the guy who plays Shawn Eckhardt steals the show.  Stan is great as well.

I presume a lot of the laughs are generated by the sheer stupidity of the people involved in the plot?

I didn't care for this much. Not terrible, but a big mess in lots of areas. Janney is the real standout (no surprise there).
