A Really Boring Weekend Thread | Weekend Estimates: F8 38.7M | Boss Baby 12.8M | Beauty and the Beast 10M | everything else bombing terribly

The Witch also opened with a $4k PTA. Them dropping the ball on Free Fire is even more inexplicable considering they proved with that movie that they can get strong results with limited but focused advertising. And FF surely has to be a more accessible movie.

I'll be surprised if City of Z can't manage 1k theaters next weekend. Outside of The Circle, How to be a Latin Lover only seems to be releasing in markets with a substantial Hispanic population, and although BOP says Sleight is going to get 1,600 theaters, it could be less than that and I'm sure midsize theaters have more they want to get rid of than 2 films/multiple F8 screens.

I'm curious as to what the WOM for Lost City of Z will be like after seeing it. I could see multiple complaints about it being "very long."

The RT audience score is at 67% (it was 68% yesterday morning).

Just now, Harley said:

And critics gave it a 87%. Sometimes the divide between critics and audience is glaring.

I mean, I'm not really surprised it's not having glowing WOM with audiences. It's a slowly paced film.

Maybe if you feel like it you can check out this thread.

I promise you when I get up to 2017, which is not going to be for quite a while obviously, but when I do Get Out will definitely make an appearance on my list.

Sorry, I'm not about to read whatever thesis you spent all this time formulating, regardless if it has plausible points because you've been a jerk to me and tried to instigate fights with me on numerous occasions.
