Seems a little early for that?  I mean, I wasn’t paying too much attention to presales for previous presales monsters, but is 15 days before about when they started doing similarly on Fandango?

I am very new to following this, but Avengers when you add the 3d, imax, fan events type of sales is always near the top for a good while, even compared to movie opening. I can just go by comparison but outselling a movie like Rampage that open tomorrow look ridiculous to me.

Those crazy friday 13th hold I read about could happen ?

That would be extremely good hold for an giant horror movie opening.

I hope yes, but I can't see $40m for Rampage happening. Walk-ups needs to be very high for that. I would say $34m.

Rampage opening high-end of 30s would be solid. With a 38 ow wouldn't even need 2.4x to touch 90m dom. China pre-sales haven't blown up as hoped for and $100m+ finish seems tough atm according to our members. But 85-90 dom and China each along with 150 OS-Ch gives 320-330 ww.

According to Mojo the prod budget is 120m. 325 ww would be 2.7x the prod budget, but if Dom is a good % of that ww total and par with China then that 2.7x is similar or better compared to a China heavy Hollywood movie doing 3.0x :

90*0.55 + 85*0.25 +  150*0.33 = 120.25 (325 ww)

60*0.55 + 150*0.25 +  150*0.33 = 120.0 (360 ww)

Sales for Rampage have been on par with Pacific Rim 2 around me. Starting to think it's gonna open in about the same range.

I look at it this way- PRU is pretty much your baseline for "audience that wants to see giant creatures smash cities."

Anything it makes over that is pure Rockdollas.
