Really depends on what you're looking for, but usually the most important takeaway for just a casual glance is the comp.  More on that in a bit.   But even that is highly dependent on a movie being either in a similar genre or having a similar pre-sale pattern as folks will buy tickets at different times during a pre-sale window thanks to a very long list of factors.   Add in that movies will have different promotional schedules during their pre-sales (review embargoes, TV ca

re: Joker and It Chapter 2.  It's an interesting comp there @Thanos Legion.  I think there will be a pretty large initial surge.  Just too much buzz.  What happens after that initial surge is more interesting.

 

I haven't checked out much of the post-Venice reactions, though I saw the super super SUUUUUUPER early positive reactions.  

 

On the other hand, I just had a little birdie warn me about the thread, so perhaps the reception has gotten a tiny bit more divisive. :lol:  Haven't had time to  check it out myself.

 

So we'll see.  Might think DP2 will be an interesting comp, myself. No 3D, R-rated, passionate hard core base.  Sure the comedy angle is vastly different.  But it might be an interesting comparison when it comes to CBMs, especially as it started relatively lower compared to other high-end CBMs.

At AMC Empire 25 the prime time Imax/PLF shows have good sales. Otherwise still almost nothing(< 5% of tickets sold).

Even though I have no comps to use, I imagine I could still get a slight idea of what the Inland Empire could be pointing toward by looking at the percent sold and comparing it to the percent sold in other trackers' areas on this thread. Comparing with Sacramento, I can't imagine comps, if I had them, would be much different than what Sacramento is yielding.

9.23% does look like a fair amount of agreement with 10.07%, for the California subregions. And 8.7%, from Denver. Interesting that greater Philly is so much lower at 5.91, though it’a hard to read much into that when the difference could be more about the denominator than the numerator.
