Meh even my cousin that barely knows much of the spoiler or movies in general asked me if it was true the last two spider-man were in this movie.

You are kidding yourself if you think it's just for Molina and Dafoe.

I guess I mean more from what has been officially shown.

After the first trailer Molina has been a huge part of the marketing push I imagine because that reveal was the thing from that first trailer that got the most enthusiastic response.

I don't have any hard data on that though.

Went back again into the archives and Endgame T-19 was at 2149 here, and T-15 was 2590. So probably about 2450 T-16 to equalize today (I only recorded numbers on Sat and Wed from what I recall).

So that points to a previews number nearly at $50M without ATP adjustment….

What is a decent OW for WSS anyway. BOP has 14-22. It’s 21 on HSX. It’s priced around 16 for FML.

I guess anything above Gucci seems okay to me, but in the “okay given that my expectations have been in the basement” way rather than “this is a 100M film from a revered director and doing actual solid numbers ina  vacuum” way.

https://www.boxofficepro.com/spider-man-no-way-home-drives-second-biggest-day-of-ticket-sales-for-a-single-title-in-amc-history/

AMC Theatres recorded the second busiest day of ticket sales for a single movie in the circuit’s 101-year history on Monday, November 29 with the pre-sale launch of Sony’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. The superhero sequel came within 1.5 percent of the all-time single day record for one title, set by Avengers: Endgame in 2019.

You know I didn’t think a $300M OW was even in the realm of possibility but the numbers are saying otherwise….
