I look at 319 theaters where I get shows with reserved seatings. I was earlier looking at all 360 I could pull but some of them have closed during pandemic.

Ok if you are getting from 319 then that's good. I was only able to get data from 284 or so.

I think what we are asking is, is that data from all 319? Because in earlier run by Menor he was missing some 30 theaters.

I am thinking 200+ for now. If it continues to be crazy for next 7 days I can drastically make it 250 range.

We live in a timeline where Alfred Molina is a box office draw.

When the first NWH trailer came out I saw someone predict that 'Hello, Peter' would be the new 'Chewie, we're home' and the closer we get to release, the more accurate it seems.

Santikos Theaters tracking

Slight correction to yesterday, Santikos has 10 theaters, 9 of which are showing previews.  Updated the table today as well.  New sales are now up front.  "Total Seats" has been replaced with "True Capacity" and now excludes seats marked as unavailable.  % Sold shows total sold / true capacity.

New preview sales were relatively calm, though there were only about 18 hours between when I started the two runs.  It's gonna be tough to climb too high without adding more shows (only 8 added since last update).   Friday sales look great already too.

So you are telling me there is hope to dethrone Changjin lake as 2021 top grossing film worldwide? Please omicron, hold your pee til Feb next year.

 1) that was always locked or as close to lock as you can get, 2) delta is still by far the main worry it will take at least 2-3 weeks to even begin have an idea about what omicron is, 3) whatever happens with omicron vaccines will still be effective to some degree and they can easily be modified or give people boosters plus the fact that it seems to be mild, 4) worldwide nationwide lockdown wont happen again. I believe thats enough reasons to be hopefull....

as for box office assuming china too, i have no way home in the 1,5 billion range for now and who knows maybe even higher.....

You don't need a nationwide lockdown to stop a movie from grossing >900m. Just like here in my country, despite tons of sold outs til Sunday , from what I know from insiders, the presale are nowhere as good as IW or EG. In fact, it is not even come close to 50% because of the capacity control and no entry rule for unvaccinated crowd. Of course, many are delaying their ticket booking simply because of there are so much uncertainty out there, We are in covid-era, there is no guarantee you won't be sick or banned from public space during mid-Dec later.
